I showed up for this event, which I had signed up for and received a confirmation email about. I showed up at 6:30pm and was turned away. How can you coach people on running a business when you don’t know how to run one of your own? I’m not impressed. I didn’t see a list of names. I saw tickets being given out to the first people in line. I was told that I could wait outside for 1 1/2 hours so that I could attend the mixer. I have responsibilities and had carved out this particulr 1 1/2 hours so that I could attend. If attendance is an issue then start charging people and guaranteeing spots. This race to the start of the line, after confirming your attendance, is bogus.

I don’t want to say that I fully agree with Melissa but I drove 30 minutes in traffic to an event that I was in the guest list for to be turned away at the door. It was embarrassing and disappointing and can be improved in a couple different ways.

    1. Charge for guaranteed admission.
    2. Overflow / livestreaming room so that no-one get turned away.

Or most importantly … Number 3:
    3. Explain the willy wonka golden ticket system in advance so that I know I am supposed to be there at 6 pm if I want to get any everlasting gobstoppers.

    Oh and number 4.

    4. Shameless plug, please click my name to see the service I wanted to tell you all about in person. Don’t like my shameless plug? Well see you next month at number 17.

Word of caution: lengthy remark. My apologies before hand but I desire to complement this beneficial website with my own personal expertise on wealth organization . Proper now, I work at a big hedge fund that normally employs possibilities so I would personally state I’ve some comprehension of the financial sector. Between my spouse and I, we now have usually analyzed to Warren Buffet. When Buffett was a youngster, he employed leverage to turn into a multimillionaire by forming joint ventures and sharing in their earnings. He expended very small, but received a big element of profits in exchange for his superb financial commitment judgements. This became a genuinely win-win scenario for him and his partners. My suggestions is to begin slow with ventures, read up on the award-winning dissertation by Delos Chang – it actually details just how great mutual index funds are. S&P 500, for my part, is hard to beat when searching for a decent return. Not surprisingly, if you’re committing during drug wars and mortgage loan housing crises..that has to be a bit complex. But if you’ve never , please take a fast read on the quarrels offered in Delos Chang’s article if you’re committing to the lengthy run – say for children (quick tip: the informative 401k exempts you from federal financial aid). If you would like to day trade, one guidance for you personally: better get your stuff together because you better understand than the brokers and dealers in the NYSC!

Ridiculous. Warren Buffett’s op-ed was pure political drivel. If he wants to give more money to the government no one is stopping him. Does he really think Obama can spend the cash better than he can?
